Come Work With Us
"Police, at all times, should maintain a relationship with the public that gives reality to the historic tradition that the police are the public and the public are the police; the police being only members of the public who are paid to give full-time attention to duties which are incumbent on every citizen in the interests of community welfare and existence."

A message from the Chief:
The Newport Police Department is a progressive community based organization. We strive to treat all citizens with integrity and fairness. We are transparent and welcome all comments good or bad. Our door is always open to you. We are constantly changing with the current times and would like any input from the public to do our job better. We work for you first.

Alzheimer's/Dementia Checklist for Law Enforcement/First Responders

We are introducing a new program at the Newport Police Department.  It is an Alzheimer's/Dementia check list for Law Enforcement and First Responders.

The form provides critical information that may help us to help them in a time of need.  Information such as: Emergency Contacts, Medical Information, and Personal Description.

If you wish to participate, simply complete the form and return it to us.  Outside Newport? Feel free to use our forms and see if the emergency services that cover your area can use it.

Please click on the title above to access the form.
